The Tracker School is a wilderness survival and nature awareness school founded by Tom Brown Jr. in 1978, based on the teachings of his mentor, the Apache elder Stalking Wolf.
Courses include basic survival, tracking, awareness, scout skills, philosophy, healing, and advanced intensives, organized into seven "Sacred Wisdoms."
After registration, you’ll receive a gear list tailored to your course. Generally, students need basic camping supplies, appropriate clothing, tick protection and a journal. If you are on any prescription medication – you must bring that and continue as usual.
Stalking Wolf was a Lipan Apache elder, shaman, and scout who passed on ancestral survival and spiritual teachings to Tom Brown Jr. His wisdom forms the foundation of the school’s philosophy.
