This year I’m going to go way out on a limb so to speak and really push the limits of the original Advanced & Expert Scout series. Though some of the information found in the original will still be contained in the Advanced Scout, I’d venture a guess that it will comprise less than 10% of what was originally taught. With the dramatic strides taken in various on line and physical classes during the past 18 months I feel that I can venture into a new arena of Scout teaching and lead the class into areas I never thought could be taught without a vast amount of experience and dedication. Turns out that the results in class exercises over the past have been so good that I now have the confidence to teach in areas where I would never venture before.
Basically I am going to begin by expanding on all of the basic Scout skills that you learned in the original Scout class from team movement, to raiding and warfare, wolverine fighting, psychological warfare, traps & trips, stalking, camouflage and invisibility and from the place of that advanced platform of education I’m going to pour on the skills and techniques needed to take you beyond the next level and into the levels of mastery. Nonverbal communication, instinct, the animal within, combat Radiance and Presence as well as empowering physical skills such as combat, shadow walking, escape, evasion, temporary and longer term Scout villages and encampments as well as the secret trove of advanced Scout weaponry and readiness. All of this compounded by the science and philosophy of both long term and short term escape in both city and wilderness environments.
