Here in the expert Scout we find the perfect balance and equilibrium between the physical and spiritual realms of the Ancient Scouts. I could easily spend the better part of a year teaching the skills and philosophy of the Ancient Scout but that would be impossible, impossible because folks just could not take 10 months out of their lives to dedicate to focusing on these Ancient Scout Skills. It then becomes a question as to what I can teach and what do I have to leave out of teaching the vast array of Expert Scout skills. A better way to define that would be to ask myself the question, “If I only had one week to teach an Expert Scout Group, what would I teach?” That’s it in all of its simplicity; teaching the skills that are the most important, far reaching, in depth and expansive out of all of the skills that could be taught. The Expert Scout takes the student into both higher and new levels of skill and mastery. It refines and redefines all aspects of the Scouts life, his beliefs, and both the physical and spiritual skills of the utmost and extreme level of teaching. It opens up areas of teaching and understanding that I have never attempted to teach or demonstrate before and most of all it gives the Expert Scout a code of ethics, a way of life, and a clear Vision of what he or she is working for. This is not your mom and dad’s Expert Scout of the past, for as with all the Scout series of classes this reaches the highest and most powerful level I have yet set forth. It will remain then the final chapter, the ultimate doorway that leads to the highest levels of what the Ancient Scout, The People of the Coyote, lived for.
