The advanced physical skills will pick up where the old Skills classes leave off. Though there will only be a small review from the basic skills we have taught in the past, this class will focus on the higher level skills that cover all aspects of survival. We will take you into the mastery of pressure flaking, stone working and advanced lithic elements, new traps will be added along with unique and seldom seen bows, arrows, quivers, atlatls, fish spears and fish arrows, pottery and baskets, new stone and bone projectile point designs, along with arrow designs will be introduced, and of course advanced hide tanning and clothing, weaving and fish nets will also be covered. The class will be heavy in the workshop format with little lecture. All of the skills taught will be new and different even to those who have taken the Skills classes in the past. My overall intent is to introduce and preserve the physical skills that would otherwise be lost to future generations, and create in you a dynamic group of master primitive crafts people that will pass on these Sacred and very special skills.
