December 8-12, 20257:00 to 9:00 PM ESTPrerequisite: NoneThis should be a fun week. I think it was actually Kelly’s idea, and it reminded me of something the other caretakers and I used to do on a regular basis in the Primitive Camp and then continued after our time in the Pines was up. It started as&nbsp;Craft Night&nbsp;in the winter where we would gather in Dell &amp; Steve’s shelter (the most spacious) and work on all sorts of crafts while enjoying the warmth of a fire. Pam, Shannon, &amp; Dell ended up making some fine gifts; Steve and I made a few but I mainly remember doing a lot of lock-picking and regretting my attempts at knitting a toque.After all of us had finished out time as caretakers, we still got together as often as possible for what became known as a&nbsp;Craft Quest -&nbsp;a long weekend of crafting and making cool things with friends. A great blend of encouragement where it was needed and friendly derision when it was warranted, and we all came away without skills improved and our crafts filled with good energy.This class will be something similar. We’ll gather together for a few hours each night and learn about some small projects that will make great gifts during the holiday season. And since the aim is to have some finished gifts by the end of the week, we’ll spend some time during class beginning the crafting and continue working on them between sessions. Most you should be able to finish by the end of the week as long as you can put some time in during the day.This week will also be a good opportunity to work on some non-physical skills like cultivating the crafter’s mind, inner vision, and empowering objects. Even better since the skills are being used for a purpose beyond self - we’re making gifts! Ho ho hope you can join us.
